Our mission & values

At B1HG, we believe no one should face life's challenges alone. Discover the heart behind our community and what drives us to offer love, support, and hope.

Guiding principles: faith, love & compassion

B1HG is guided by faith, love, compassion, honesty, and the belief that nobody should have to face difficult seasons alone. We believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, respected, and treated with dignity—regardless of what they are going through. We believe vulnerability is not weakness, asking for help is not failure, and sometimes simply having someone listen can make a difference.

Our faith in God is at the center of what we do. We want to encourage people to seek God, find hope, and remember that their circumstances do not define their worth or their future. We also believe in meeting people where they are without judgment. We don't claim to have every answer or be able to fix everything, but we can listen, encourage, pray, connect people with helpful resources, and walk alongside them when they need support. Above all, B1HG is built on one simple principle: people matter. Their stories matter. Their struggles matter. And no one should feel like they have to carry everything.

Compassion in action: how we help

B1HG turns compassion into action by creating real opportunities for people to be heard, supported, encouraged, and connected. We provide a safe and welcoming space where people can talk openly without feeling judged. We listen before we try to give advice, offer prayer and faith-based encouragement when it is welcomed, and remind people that asking for help does not make them weak.

Through personal conversations, prayer requests, community events like Lay It Down, encouraging messages, faith-based resources, and community outreach, B1HG creates opportunities for people to connect with others who genuinely care. We also believe that helping someone sometimes means recognizing when they need more support than we can provide. When appropriate, we help connect people with professional, community, or crisis resources. Our goal isn't simply to tell someone, “Everything will be okay.” It's to show them through our actions that they don't have to face the moment alone. We listen. We encourage.

Our unique approach: genuine care, not judgment

What makes B1HG special is that we lead with genuine care, not judgment or expectations. We don't want people to feel like a number, a problem to solve, or someone who has to have everything figured out before they can ask for help. B1HG is built around meeting people where they are. Sometimes that means listening. Sometimes it means praying with someone. Sometimes it means encouragement, a conversation, a community event, or simply being present when someone doesn't know what to say.

Our approach is personal, intentional, and rooted in faith, love, compassion, and community. We want people to feel comfortable being honest about what they're going through without feeling ashamed of their struggles. What makes B1HG different is the heart behind it. We aren't trying to convince people that they have to be perfect or have everything together. We want to remind them that they are worthy of love and support exactly where they are. B1HG isn't just about helping people get through a difficult time; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and reminding them they are valued.

"B1HG provided a judgment-free space where I finally felt seen and heard. Their genuine care made all the difference."
